Announcing: Guy Guidry Scholarship Fund

Announcing: Guy Guidry Scholarship Fund

The Catholic Foundation of South Louisiana is humbled to introduce the Guy Guidry Scholarship Fund, a wonderful opportunity for students from the Central Lafourche area who wish to pursue their education at ED White Catholic High School.

Guy Guidry was a dedicated educator at ED White for a decade. During his tenure, he taught subjects such as geography, history, and business, while also serving as the bowling coach. His passion for teaching and his commitment to his students made a lasting impact on the school community.

Thanks to the generous contributions from the PKT Nu Omega Alumni and another donor, the Catholic Foundation of South Louisiana has established a scholarship in Guy Guidry’s name. This scholarship aims to provide tuition assistance to students from the Central Lafourche area who dream of attending ED White Catholic High School.

Donations made towards the Guy Guidry Scholarship Fund will be matched dollar for dollar, up to a total of $7,000. This incredible matching offer doubles the impact of each contribution, making it possible to support even more students in their educational journey.

The Guy Guidry Scholarship Fund will continue to exist indefinitely, ensuring that future generations of students in need will have the opportunity to attend the school that Guy Guidry loved and dedicated himself to. It is a fitting tribute to his passion for education and his unwavering commitment to our youth.

The Catholic Foundation of South Louisiana is immensely proud to honor Guy Guidry’s legacy through this scholarship fund. By providing financial assistance to students from the Central Lafourche area, we hope to inspire and empower them to achieve their educational goals at ED White, following in the footsteps of their esteemed teacher, Guy Guidry.
