The Catholic Foundation of South Louisiana has several annual grant opportunities open for our Catholic Churches, Catholic Schools and local community nonprofits each year. These grants are made possible by the generous donors of our Catholic Foundation restricted for a number of different purposes. Below you will find a listing of several annual grant opportunities. Grants Available:

Mother Teresa Women’s Giving Circle Grants

The Mother Teresa Women’s Giving Circle funds nonprofits located within the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux for projects specifically impacting Women, Children and Families. All nonprofits who fit within those categories are invited to submit a Letter of Intent starting December 1st, and the grant committee will review and open of the Grant Process to those approved through the LOI stage.

Fr. Willie Todd Grant

The Catholic Foundation has the great pleasure of managing the Fr. Willie Todd Foundation and their grant process. Each summer, Fr. Todd opens up grants for first Start Up projects and programs within Catholic Churches and Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux. Grants are typically awarded in September of each year.

Roman Robichaux Virtue Award

The Catholic Foundation of South Louisiana is thrilled to announce the establishment of the Roman Robichaux’s Virtue Award. This award program was made possible by the Roman Robichaux Foundation and aims to honor outstanding students who exemplify virtues within our Catholic schools and church parishes. We are incredibly grateful for the Robichaux Family for creating this endowed award in honor of their beautiful son, Roman Robichaux, who truly was an exemplar of Catholic Virtue. This award will provide invaluable support to deserving students as they pursue their educational goals.

Nell Talbot Legendre Endowment Grant

The Nell Talbot Legendre Grant awards tuition assistance scholarships to Catholic Elementary Schools within the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux, based on need and families impacted. The goal is to help provide funding for families who desire Catholic education for their elementary student but perhaps may need some financial assistance. Funds are not given to families, rather are granted to the individual school and principals are responsible for allocating to families based on financial need.

St. Augustine Endowment Grant

The St. Augustine Grant was started by Most Rev. Shelton Fabre to award tuition assistance scholarships to Catholic Schools within the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux, specifically for student of color. The goal is to help provide funding for students of color who desire Catholic education but perhaps may need some financial assistance. Funds are not given to families, rather are granted to the individual school and principals are responsible for allocating to families based on financial need.
