The Catholic Foundation of South Louisiana is thrilled to announce that we were able to secure of a $6,000 grant to support African American tuition assistance at Vandebilt Catholic High School. This generous funding, provided by the Daniel Rudd Fund (DRF), will help make Catholic education more accessible to talented students, ensuring that financial challenges do not stand in the way of their success.
The Daniel Rudd Fund is dedicated to supporting ministries that serve Black Catholics, with a focus on initiatives that promote the Gospel within parishes, schools, and communities. The goal of the DRF grant is to strengthen existing programs and create new opportunities for Black Catholics to grow in their faith and education. By securing this funding, the Catholic Foundation continues to honor this mission, ensuring that students at Vandebilt Catholic High School receive the support they need to thrive academically and spiritually.
The Catholic Foundation works closely with our Catholic schools to foster this mission and vision providing access to Catholic education for studens and families who desire a Catholic education. This grant will directly impact students who may face financial barriers to attending a Catholic school, giving them the opportunity to receive a quality education rooted in Catholic values. The Catholic Foundation is proud to play a part in helping these students reach their full potential, and we look forward to seeing how this support will empower the next generation of leaders.
Thank you to the Daniel Rudd Fund for making this opportunity possible, and to all who continue to support the mission of the Catholic Foundation and Vandebilt Catholic.
